Councillor Kim Forward is quoted as saying that tourism is vital for Hastings. It supports over 5,000 jobs and generates over £266m for the local economy.

In another article I read about the closure of the town centre toilets.

The council is very keen to attract people to the town and take their money for the local economy, yet the council won’t let them spend a penny in the town centre.

Am I alone in finding that ironic?
