Danny Pepper, No7 sales and marketing manager, said: “We have recently produced a lens of -25.00 dioptres, and the highest power was +37.00 dioptres. Keratoconic patients’ requirements are routine work for our specialists, and no demand is too great.

“In fact, our technicians like a challenge, and the results of this specialisation are very rewarding.”

Besides the breadth of bespoke lens options for post-surgical needs, No7’s mini-sclerals – particularly Comfort 15 - are the answer for dry eye and irregular cornea patients.

Mr Pepper added: “We have refined our production of hand-painted and printed coloured lenses to a very fine art, and the results are winning us customers around the world – not just for cosmetic and TV/film work, with special effects, but also for the most serious trauma injuries.”

The awards ceremony will be held on April 1.
