Firefighters tackle Hastings roof fire

Firefighters put out a fire in a roof in Hastings yesterday (Monday, May 23).

Two East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service appliances, along with the aerial ladder platform, from Hastings were mobilised to Saxon Road after a fire was reported in the roof space of a property.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel to tackle the fire.

Crews isolated solar panels and spent time cutting away to ensure there was no further fire spread.
