'˜Ceiling caves in' at St Leonards flat

Firefighters were called when a ceiling caved in at a flat in St Leonards yesterday evening (Tuesday, August 2).

East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service crews from Hastings were sent to Church Road at around 6.50pm.

Fire crews made the flat safe and isolated the power supply.

Hastings firefighters were then sent to Roberston Terrace at about 12.50am this morning (Wednesday, August 3), where they rescued one person stuck in a lift.
