Manchester United v Crawley remembered - exactly a decade on
So, ten years on, it got us thinking, how would the side who beat Leeds get on against Steve Evans’ side of 2010-11?
We asked the Facebook group CTFC.net – for fans of Crawley Town– to see who they thought would win. Here are some of the responses.

John Barnett
“It’s a tricky one this. The current team is in League Two while the other was in the National League, but swept all before it and won at a canter.
“Then as a measure, a core of that team won promotion from League Two...whereas the current team could
hopefully feature in the promotion race from League Two...”
Peter Bellamy
“The current bunch would give a good account of themselves. They have beaten a Premier League side after all, which is something the 2010-11 team didn’t do.”

Simon Smith
“Interesting one. Really not much in it but 2010-11 for me.”
Jason Bates
“2010-2011 side all day long.”
Phil Jarman
“Yeah I would say the 2010-11 side.. what a team and gaffer”
Gary Maiden
“2010-2011 - I would only have Morris from the current crop in that team.”

Antony Weller
“Yems is a better coach and has greater tactical awareness – Evans probably had the better side
“McAllister and Tubbs were the best forward line we had – yes better than Barnett and Tubbs in my view because of what they offered each other.”
