We recently had several visits from Mariano’s band at Hastings.

This band of cheery buskers who play at several cities, really brighten up the day, bringing a smile to passers by.

Two trumpets, double bass, guitar, keyboard and clarinet. I sat and listened to them for four hours.

Unfortunately I heard that apparently some ‘unmusical philistines’ complained that they played too loud, at which point they packed up and left.

What a pity. No one seems to complain at the usual loud rock bands yet when we get some real musicians there are some who complain. Let’s hope they return to Hastings and cheer us up again.
