Two trapped in Hastings three-car crash

Two people trapped in a vehicle after a three-car crash in Hastings were rescued by firefighters yesterday evening (Wednesday, October 26).

East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service crews from Bohemia Road and The Ridge fire stations were sent to Fairlight Road at around 6.45pm after the crash involving three vehicles.

Two people were trapped so cutting gear was used to release them.

Four people were injured in the crash; two were immobilised and taken to the Conquest Hospital due to the impact of the crash, including a man in his early 70s with breathing difficulties and another with a broken ankle.

The other two refused hospital treatment.
