Both funds are part of the Government’s £1.57billion Culture Recovery Fund which is designed to secure the future of Britain’s museums, galleries, theatres, independent cinemas, heritage sites and music venues with emergency grants and loans.
Mrs Caulfield said “Many of our cultural assets including our most precious heritage sites have been put in danger by the necessary restrictions that have been put in place because of the coronavirus pandemic.
“The government wants to ensure that these cultural assets will not only survive these difficult times but will be able to come back stronger than ever.
