'˜Very impressed with everything' says youngster after regal Town Hall visit

All Saints CE Junior Academy's newly elected School Council were treated to a tour of Hastings Town Hall, followed by a formal meeting with the Mayor in the main Council Chamber.

The Mayor of Hastings, Councillor Judy Rogers and Ward Councillor for Old Hastings, James Bacon, conducted the tour which was followed by a lively and interesting question and answer session prepared by the pupils.

Cllr Bacon says both he and the Mayor had many interesting questions to respond to and took home some case work from the young people. “This was wonderful opportunity to meet young people in Old Hastings ward and find out what their plans for the year ahead are,” he said. “I am really keen to see young people empowered and want to improve their communities for the better, which these pupils clearly want to do. The children were perfect ambassadors for their school and community and I am looking forward to working more closely with All Saints in the coming year.
