Arrests after two men '˜argue and carry knives' in St Leonards

Two men were arrested after reportedly being seen arguing and carrying knives in St Leonards on Friday afternoon (14 October).

Officers were called at around 3pm after one of the suspects was spotted in Battle Road walking towards Hollington Old Lane.

He was described as white, at least 6’ and of skinny build wearing a grey jumper.

Two local men, aged 43 and 20, were arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon in a public place and affray.

Both were bailed until November 8, and November 15 respectively, pending further enquiries.

PC Rob Lee said: “We would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and who saw anyone acting suspiciously.
