Good news as food hygiene ratings given to seven Chichester establishments

A Food Standards Agency rating sticker on a window of a restaurant in central London. A huge variation in food hygiene standards remains across the UK, with one in five high or medium-risk food outlets failing to meet standards, according to a study.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to seven of Chichester’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them all.

Restaurants, cafes and canteens

The following ratings have been given to four restaurants, cafes or canteens:

• Rated 5: Brasserie Blanc at 1 Richmond House, Church Square, Chichester, West Sussex; rated on July 18

• Rated 5: Costa at 69 - 70 East Street, Chichester, West Sussex; rated on July 18

• Rated 5: Banksy Chicken And Burgers at The Fishermans Joy, 71 East Street, Selsey, Chichester; rated on July 17

• Rated 5: Naima at 5 Cathedral Courtyard, Southgate, Chichester, West Sussex; rated on June 23

Pubs, bars and nightclubs

And two ratings have been handed to pubs, bars or nightclubs:

• Rated 5: The Duke Of Cumberland Arms at Henley, Haslemere, West Sussex; rated on July 20

• Rated 5: Faustinos Wine Bar at 2a North Street, Midhurst, West Sussex; rated on June 30
