AFTER a sell-out performance earlier this year Mike Hatchard and Herbie Flowers return by popular demand to St Mary-in-the-Castle this month.

Mike Hatchard is a very versatile musician, as well as the keyboard he plays violin, trombone, clarinet, saxophone and bass guitar. He has accompanied many famous musicians including Jonny Dankworth, David Essex and Matt Monro.

Herbie Flowers has also had a colourful career with many top artistes and the group Blue Mink and Sky. Currently he is touring the country with the arena show The Lost World.

Mike Hatchard also appears this Sunday (June 3) at St Mary-in-the-Castle as part of the Ore Big Band, for which he has arranged a selection of Beatles songs.

This is a special concert for the Diamond Jubilee featuring music by British composers and featuring the 2012 premiere of Hastings Big Choir with around 150 local people performing show songs and a flag-waving finale of Jerusalem and Rule Britannia.

Tickets for the Jubilee Spectacular on Sunday at 7pm are £5, and for the Jazz Breakfast on June 10 at 11am, £8, available in advance from St Mary’s Cafe, Hastings Information Centre and Second Spin, Bexhill. Ring 01424 442601 for more information.
