In advance of rock duo Sleaford Mods coming to the De La Warr Pavilion in Bexhill this weekend you can appreciate frank and fierce documentary Bunch Of Kunst (18) at Kino-Teatr in St Leonards on Friday April 19 from 7.30pm. The film follows the two year journey from Nottingham bed-sit to chart success, and acclaim from the likes of Iggy Pop who called Sleaford Mods “the world’s greatest rock’n’roll band,” while fans think of them as the true voice of Britain. Tickets £9.

1. Theatre. Opening on Friday April 5 at 7.30pm is a double bill of Peter Shaffer one act comedy plays at the Stables Theatre in Hastings. White Liars revolves around Sophie Lemberg, an eccentric fortune teller and two young men — Tom, the lead singer in a rock band, and Frank, his business manager. Cast is Josie Body, Daniel Grint and Daniel Giles. Black Comedy is set in a London apartment with a harrassed hero trying to impress his posh fiancee’s father; when there is a power cut, the characters find themselves groping around in pitch-black darkness. Cast includes Dave Fricker, Elly Tipping, Ian Klemen, Garham Pearcey, Victoria Fay, Nick Carn and Tessa Boase. Tickets £13.50.

1. Film. Join Rye Players in a fun singalong dressed-up screening of the Rocky Horror Picture Show with supper on Friday March 29 at Rye Community Centre, starting 7.30pm. Tickets £10 available from Adams, High St, Rye. It’s a fundraiser for the group which is busy rehearsing their next show in May. Prize for best costume.

Dyad is a professional theatre company which recently visited with Austen’s Women, and this new radical solo production, based on the novel by Virginia Woolf, is performed by Rebecca Vaughan, written and directed by renowned playwright and director Elton Townend Jones, whose work has been performed in Europe, Australia, New Zealand and the US.
