Dora Fandousi, Laura Sol, Helen Saunders, Jenny Stephens, Jill Lyon and Margaret Taylor have spent years specialising in that unique world of helping people overcome life and other psycho-social problems through art.

Now they are coming together to show their own work, each demonstrating in an individual way their own capabilities and techniques '“ all skills they bring to their professional work as art therapists.

Arts forum chairman Alastair Fairley is intrigued to see the therapists' work: "It is well recognised that many of us overcome crisis, or other problems we encounter in life through art, whether it be painting, music, writing, dance or other forms of performance.

"This group spend their working lives in that field - I am certain the exhibition will provide a fascinating insight into that field."

The Hastings Art Therapy Service exhibition runs at the arts forum gallery from Friday June 8 to Thursday June 14.
