WICK IN TITLE DOGFIGHT

FOUR GOALS from Danny Curd gave Wick a 4-0 victory at fourth-placed Lancing on Saturday, and increased their hopes of capturing the league title.

Wick are now eight points behind leaders Crowborough, with three games in hand. The teams play each other twice in the final three league games of the season.

Wick captain Tony Miles said: "We're definitely in with a chance of winning the league. We haven't conceded a goal for five-and-a-half games now, and have been on a roll for quite a while. We have Crowbrough to play twice and there is something like 27 points still to play for."
