United hope for upset

WORTHING UNITED Football Club travel to Maidenhead on Saturday for the biggest game in their history.

They are now just two wins away from an FA Cup first-round proper tie against a number of professional outfits.

United player-boss Paul Curtis said: "It's a massive game for us and it can't come soon enough.

"We had someone watch Maidenhead on Saturday. We know they will be better footballers and fitter than us because they play at a higher level.

"They are a very good footballing side but they haven't got a great deal of pace. Their dangerman is one of their wingers, so we know a bit about them.

"It will be a massive mountain for us to climb and nine times out of 10 they will beat us. But we will go there and give it our best shot.

"We've got excellent spirit and attitude and we came from behind in a previous round against higher-league opposition."
