Saxons edged out by champions

South Saxons rounded-off their league campaign with a narrow defeat to the champions.

Saxons were edged out 1-0 away to Horsham II in South Hockey League Sussex Area - Division One on Saturday to finish seven points behind their opponents in second place.

A Horsham side which had the luxury of 15 players had more of the chances, but Saxons produced a good all-round performance in a game which could have gone either way.
