Priory one win from Sussex title

A WIN at home to Brighton & Hove on Saturday August 30 will see Hastings Priory retain the Sussex Cricket League.

If Priory fail to triumph and closest challengers Horsham win at Chichester then the championship race will go to the final weekend of the season.

The top two both claimed convincing wins on Saturday but Priory claimed maximum 30 points while Horsham picked up 28.

Horsham, who lie 48 points adrift of the leaders, kept alive their outside title hopes with a six-wicket win at home to Eastbourne.
