Plenty of action promised at Parham

The South East point to point season is well under way and the first of two meetings to be held at Parham, near Storrington, will be on Saturday March 25.The action kicks off at 11.45 am with the two pony races, introduced to encourage young, would-be jockeys, to the thrills of racing.

This year a good local contingent of youngsters includes Pippa Hawksfield and Harry Bentley. who both carry their fathers' colours. Gemma Cobb, daughter of Heather and Ian C ob b who train point to pointers near Pulborough, and Issy Fitzalan-Howard as well as three youngsters from New Barn Farm stables.
