South Saxons made it six consecutive victories with a 7-2 success at home to Middleton & Bognor.
The Hastings club did the damage in the second half of its final South Hockey League Sussex Area - Division One home fixture of the season on Saturday with five unanswered goals.
Saxons took an early lead through Jim Towers only to find themselves trailing against ninth-placed opposition before Toby Reed brought them level at 2-2 going into the break.
The home side stepped up a gear after the turnaround, though, and completely dominated the second period. Jamie Busbridge tapped in to put Saxons in front and made it 4-2 with a stunning volley.
Goals five and six came from powerful strikes at the top of the circle by Dan Burnett and captain Paddy Cornish before Towers deflected in a Pete Watters shot to round-off the scoring. Man of the match was Will Orr.
