Bexhill snooker star Jimmy Robertson is set to compete at the German Masters this afternoon (Thursday).
The world number 47 will take on 13th-ranked Joe Perry in round one of the latest World Snooker tournament at the Berlin Tempodrom from 2pm.
Robertson booked his place in the event proper courtesy of 5-4 victories over Ian Burns and Hammad Miah in the qualifiers before Christmas.
The 28-year-old has been in action once since the turn of the year at last month’s Asian Tour event three. Robertson saw off Cheng Sihong 4-1 and Mark King 4-2 before being edged out 4-3 by Zhang Yong.
As previously mentioned on this website, St Leonards-based Mark Davis will take on Ronnie O’Sullivan this afternoon and the local pair could face each other in round two if they are both successful.
