The annual Christmas Pudding Dash will take place at Ashburnham Place tomorrow (Saturday).

Now in its eighth year, this very popular festive event is the perfect way to celebrate the Christmas holiday season. Organisers Nice Work encourage runners to come dressed in appropriate Christmas attire.

This two lap multi-terrain five-mile race takes place in a unique setting and is a rare opportunity to run through the grounds of Ashburnham Place - a setting of great natural beauty.

Part of the grounds have been designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest. The grounds in their present form were designed and constructed in the mid-18th century by Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown.

There are Christmas puds and other festive goodies on offer, while a medal and glass of warming mulled wine will be waiting at the finish. The event is suitable for experienced runners and beginners alike, and there will also be a children’s race. The main race will start at 10.30am.
