Mark Davis was paired with Ali Carter in this afternoon’s (Monday) draw for the Betfred.com World Snooker Championship.
As one of the 16 players to successfully negotiate the qualifiers at the weekend, St Leonards-based Davis was bound to be drawn against one of the 16 seeds.
Carter is the lowest ranked of the seeded players at number 17, while Davis is the highest ranked of the qualifiers at number 18 so an interesting match lies in prospect.
The opening session of the best-of-19-frames encounter at The Crucible Theatre in Sheffield will take place from 7pm on Wednesday April 25 with the second session following at 1pm the next day.
