MISSED CHANCES COST ARUNDEL VICTORY

RELEGATION-threatened Worthing United FC will feel unlucky not to have claimed all three points in an entertaining clash with fourth-placed Arundel on Saturday.

A draw was probably the fair result but United's Joe Shelley saw efforts rebound off the post and bar in either half, and both keepers were forced into some stunning saves.

The game was just two minutes old when Dave Walker harshly had an effort ruled out after referee Ryan Elliis adjudged he had fouled United keeper Fuller. Just a minute later, Gavin Geddes was stopped from giving United the lead through a wonderful diving save by Arundel keeper Ben O'Connor.

The frantic start continued when Arundel went straight back up the other end and Simon Clayton's header was brilliantly turned away for a corner by Fuller.
