LUKER'S TON IS NOT ENOUGH

RICHARD LUKER'S 111 was not enough for Broadwater to overcome Arundel's total of 174 at Waterwoods Plain on Saturday. Luker's innings included 14 fours, and from the relatively simple task of 143-3 and needing 31 to win, Broadwater collapsed to 160-8 and the game ended in a draw.

Joel Wiles (53) and Richard Whitcomb's (43) 84-run fourth wicket partnership was crucial in Arundel's total. Wiles (pictured rig-ht) struck seven fours in his 102 ball innings, while Whitcomb hit four fours and a six.

Last man Rakesh Parmar with 13 not out was Arundel's next top scorer.
