KITE SURFING: British Championships at Littlehampton this weekend

THREE local riders will take part in the British Kite Surfing Championships which head to Littlehampton from Friday (September 26) to Sunday (9am-5pm).

In action will be Littlehampton's Dan and Oli Sweeney, and Worthing's Lewis Crathern, who is the two-time UK champion.

Event organiser Owen Stringer said: "Littlehampton is a great location for Kite Surfing.

"It's no surprise that the British Kite Surfing Association have chosen it as one of their venues for this year's Freestyle Championship for the third year running.

"Kite Surfing can be a great spectator sport, and this year's event is an opportunity to see some of the best Kite Surfers in the world, along with local stars Dan and Oli Sweeney, absolutely free."

The event takes place near the East Beach Caf, and there is also the opportunity to try kitesurfing with the Airhead Kite Surfing Academy. For more information, call the East Beach Caf on 01903 731903, or visit www.bksa.org.uk
