Johnson strikes at the double
TWO goals from Alan Johnson helped Westfield clinch a 3-1 win at home to Mile Oak in Sussex Division Two.
Johnson opened the scoring after only eight minutes with a stunning 20-yard drive which ripped into the top corner of the net.
Westfield doubled their lead midway through the first half when a free-kick was met by Mark Drinkwater whose header across goal was finished off by Darrol Parris.
Mile Oak hauled themselves back into the game by halving deficit on the stroke of half time thanks to a close range header from Darren Morris.
Johnson had the final word though when eight minutes from time he claimed his second goal of the afternoon with another well-struck drive that gave the keeper no chance.
