Ideal conditions for point-to-point

Perfect conditions and plenty of runners are anticipated for the annual point-to-point event at Catsfield tomorrow (Sunday).

The much-needed rain in the first half of this week has made the going officially good and, in fact, the ground is probably in the best condition it’s ever been.

A good turnout of runners is therefore anticipated at Buckholt Farm, Watermill Lane, in contrast to recent years when the firm ground has deterred many potential competitors from risking their horses.
