Heading for the top in the Arab racing world

An ultimate aim to take the lady jockey's title in Arab racing is spurring on Anna Wallace of Angmering. She has two excellent wins to her credit this year and a strong chance of closing the narrow gap between her and the current leader at the final meeting of the season at Warwick on Sunday.

She has had a winner and 20 placed horses on the Flat, with her victory coming on board the Nerys Dutfield trained Royal Axminster, an eight-year-old Maiden, at Salisbury.

"I was the first person to win with Royal Axminster. I had finished third on him at the track the previous month and we went back again in a mile and a half race and won," she recalled.

The victory was three years ago and started Anna on the quest for more winners.
