He moved up eight places following a two-under-par second round 70. After a birdie and two bogeys on the front nine, Nessling fired an eagle and two birdies in five holes from the 10th before bogeying the last.

The 26-year-old gained a further nine positions on the back of another 70 in today's final round. Nessling picked up a shot at the second before making three birdies and two bogeys in five rollercoaster holes from the sixth. Another birdie followed at the 14th before a bogey at the 17th.

Cornford was tied fifth after a three-under-par 69 in round one. Starting at the 10th, he birdied three of his first four holes and four of his first eight before bogeying his ninth. An eagle at his 11th was followed by two bogeys in his last five holes.

A two-under 70 in round two left Cornford tied sixth. He recovered from two bogeys in the first six holes with four birdies in the next seven.

Cornford made a great start to his final round, with three birdies in the first six holes moving him within a shot of the lead at one stage. Four bogeys in six holes from the eighth, however, followed by a birdie at the 14th and bogey at the 17th meant he had to settle for a one-over-par 73.

It was Cornford's third top dozen finish in his last four EuroPro Tour events and fifth top 20 finish of the season. He now lies 26th on the season-long order of merit.

It was only Nessling's third appearance on the tour in 2016, but the result continues a pretty decent run of form which includes winning the Sussex Professional Championship and playing in the last group at the Titleist & FootJoy PGA Professional Championship. He wished to thank sponsor Hera Indemnity for its ongoing support.
