GOLDS GALLOP PAST STRUGGLING MUSSELS

A SPARKLING first-half display from Littlehampton Football Club helped them to their first victory of 2006 over a disappointing Shoreham side at The Sportsfield on Saturday.

Golds bounced back from consecutive defeats over the New year weekend, whilst Shoreham have lost three on the spin following a run of seven successive victories.

Littlehampton established control from the first whistle with Des Guile and Adam Hunt going close within the first two minutes.

Steve Davies then saw his looping header saved by Ronan Callaghan, Hunt blazed just wide after a half cleared corner and Callaghan saved again from Ben Torode.
