United boss still on the hunt
Suleyman Bah and Charlie Slocombe have made their United debuts over the past week, but Maggs is still looking to add to his squad.
He said: “The transfer market at our level is slow at the moment because clubs are assessing what they’ve got themselves, but I’m on the case to probably three or four players. Anything could happen in the next two weeks or so.”

Maggs says that Jamie Crone and Matt Maclean are still part of his plans even though they played against each other on Tuesday night in the Sussex County Football League Division Two match between Little Common and Eastbourne United AFC.
Crone, in fact, scored a splendid goal against an Eastbourne side which also included Sean Ray as the former United player-manager makes his way back to fitness.
“No-one’s been shown the door with these two,” continued Maggs, who planned to speak with Maclean at training last night. “I still want to keep in touch with them.”
The home game against Sittingbourne - which was originally scheduled for tomorrow - has been rearranged for Monday November 11. See today’s Hastings Observer for the full article.
