United are set to bring in striker Billy Medlock and attacking midfielder Chris Cumming-Bart prior to the Ryman Football League Division One South fixture away to Dorking Wanderers.

United manager Garry Wilson held talks with Medlock over the summer, although the 23-year-old utlimately opted to sign for National League South side St Albans City instead, only to be released by the Hertforshire outfit earlier this month.

He has featured for several of the top non-league sides in Sussex, starting his career at Eastbourne Borough before moving on to Horsham and Lewes. He also made four appearances for the U’s in a brief spell at The Pilot Field in December 2011.

Medlock enjoyed a superb 2013/14 campaign with Eastbourne Town that earned him a move to Tonbridge Angels ahead of the following season. Within a couple of months, he joined Sutton United, returning to Longmead on loan in March 2015, and subsequently choosing St Albans over a number of other clubs chasing his signature.

Cumming-Bart is also set for a move to The Pilot Field after making a highly impressive start to the season for Southern Combination Football League Division One side Bexhill United.

The former Brighton & Hove Albion junior has also previously donned the claret and blue shirt, having made two League Cup appearances for United during the 2013/14 season, and scoring twice in six outings for the under-21s.

Wilson cast his eye over Dorking against Worthing on Tuesday night and although the match was abandoned after 38 minutes due to a floodlight failure, Wilson says he saw enough ‘to know what they’re all about’.

“They’re a reasonably strong, confident, very attack-minded side,” Wilson added. “But if we can play the way we’re capable of, we shouldn’t fear anyone.”

Sam Cole still has one game left to run on his suspension, but will return for the home fixture against Worthing on Tuesday night. Wilson hopes strikers Jack Harris (ankle) and Zac Attwood (back) will be fit.
