PAGHAM have already had a number of last season's squad put pen to paper for the upcoming campaign and boss John Price wants to be challenging in County League Division 1 this year.

The Nyetimber Lane outfit have already had captain Darren Pearce, Scott Murfin, Howard Neighbour, Wes Hallet, Jake Hawker, Joe Briggs, Harry Williams and goalkeeper James Binfield sign forms for the 2012/13 season ensuring they will stay at the club.

Price had also brought in Callum Cutler and James Ford who were at Chichester last season.

Their pre-season training starts on Tuesday (July 3, 6.45pm at the club) to which anyone is welcome to attend.

The club had over 30 people at their recent under-18 trials and Price along with coach Toby Anderson and reserve team manager Alex Bone, all believe it’s an exciting time for the club.

Price said: “We want to be improving, in the end we finished fourth last year. We’re looking to push on from there and be pushing at the top of the table.”
