The Blues already face a hectic end to the season and in an effort to stop the backlog getting even worse, the Sussex County Football League Division One match at Crowborough is to be squeezed in this week - weather permitting.

Sidley’s official Twitter feed just posted a message saying: “Confirmed that tonight’s game is to be moved to Thursday against @CrowboroughAFC if the snow thaws out by then.”

Fifth-bottom Sidley are three points above Chichester City, who occupy the last of the three relegation places, with three games in hand. The Blues still have 14 league fixtures and at least one cup match to cram in before the scheduled finish to the campaign on Saturday April 27.

Rye United’s visit from Redhill in Division One, plus the Division Two derby between Bexhill United and Westfield, both of which were also scheduled for tonight, have unsurprisingly also been postponed due to the snow.
