Lingfield posted a message on social network site Twitter yesterday evening saying “Pitch inspection due at 9am. Looks like another game will fall pray to the weather.”

Both teams were victorious in their most recent outings with Sidley winning 2-1 at home to Lancing on Thursday night and Lingfield triumphing 4-1 at Dorking Wanderers on Tuesday thanks to a hat-trick from ex-Brighton & Hove Albion striker Nicky Forster.
