Sidley continue flying start

Sidley United continued their excellent start to the season on Tuesday night.

The Blues made it two wins and two clean sheets out of two in Sussex County Football League Division One with a 2-0 victory at Crowborough Athletic.

Sidley did the damage early on, Scott McDonald opening the scoring after three minutes and Steve Morris doubling their money seven minutes later.

Rye United are also unbeaten following a 3-3 draw at AFC Uckfield. The hosts took an early lead only for Scott Ramsay to level shortly before half time.

Sam Adams put Rye ahead early in the second period, but they conceded twice in 15 minutes to trail once more. Adams salvaged a point with an 83rd minute free kick.

Little Common are still searching for their first point in Division Two after going down 3-2 at Hailsham Town despite being ahead twice.

Callum Wooller gave Common an early lead and Jordan Wood made it 2-1 in the second half. Hailsham swiftly equalised, though, and won it with a late penalty.
