Second half blast sinks Bexhill

Bexhill United conceded four second half goals against Hailsham Town for the second time this season last night (Tuesday).

Darrol Parris’ side had looked on course to make it 19 Sussex County Football League Division Two points from a possible 21 when they led through Casey Ham’s 29th minute goal at half time.

But Shane Saunders equalised just 16 seconds into the second half and went on to complete a 22-minute hat-trick. Ryan Alexander sealed the points for second-placed Hailsham with a low 25-yard drive in the 80th minute.

A miserable second half for seventh-placed Bexhill was made complete when the usually deadly Ham, pictured, blazed an added time penalty over the crossbar. A full report and reaction will appear in Friday’s Bexhill Observer.
