Daniel East is returning to Hastings United Football Club.
The Brighton & Hove Albion goalkeeper is rejoining the U’s on loan until the end of the season having spent a month at The Pilot Field on a similar arrangement earlier in the year.
East, who recently turned 20 and is the regular goalkeeper in Albion’s development centre set-up, wrote on social network site Twitter this lunchtime: “Back to Hastings on loan for the month!”
United player-manager Sean Ray has had to act because Matt Cruttwell was forced off with an injured knee during the 2-1 win at Lewes yesterday (Saturday). Cruttwell himself was deputising for Matt Armstrong-Ford, who was once again struggling with his own knee problem.
East is likely therefore to go straight into the side for the visit from Ryman League Premier Division leaders Whitehawk tomorrow (Saturday). New signings Freddie Warren, Aaron Rhule and Alassane N’Diaye all started in the win over Lewes, while Gareth Williams was an unused substitute.
