Little Common Football Club’s scheduled match tonight (Tuesday) has been postponed.
The Commoners’ third round tie away to Arundel in the Parafix Sussex Senior Challenge Cup has unsurprisingly fallen foul of a waterlogged pitch following all the recent wet weather.
Because this is the second time the game has been called-off, it will now be switched to Little Common Recreation Ground on a date to be announced.
The eventual winners of the match between Macron Store Southern Combination Football League Division One side Common and Premier Division team Arundel will join some of Sussex’s leading clubs in the quarter-finals.
The switch of venue is the reverse of what happened to Common in the Sussex Principal RUR Charity Cup. Their quarter-final at home to Chichester City was called-off twice last month and will now be played at Chichester next Tuesday night.
Common are also still involved in the Peter Bentley Challenge Cup, although a date for their quarter-final away to Broadbridge Heath has yet to be set.
As previously reported, Hastings United’s scheduled game away to Hythe Town in Ryman Football League Division One South tonight was postponed earlier this morning.
