Bexhill United Football Club manager Marc Munday is desperate to get some continuity in his team selection.
Munday believes that constantly having to chop and change the side because of availability issues has hampered the Pirates’ season.
He said: “We’ve not had the same side once all season. I said to the guys we just want to get to training, focus on the way we want to play and try to get a few games running with the same set of lads. As long as we start a game with the same team, that I believe is going to be massive for us.
“You can’t really have anything in place if you don’t know who you’ve got week to week. Once you get that, then you can work on things and see where you’re going wrong and what you need to improve.”
Mateusz Szafranski should be back in goal for the visit of Steyning Town tomorrow (Saturday) having been in his native Poland last weekend and Portuguese wide left player Vitor Pestana is in line to make his debut after his international clearance finally came through.
“He’s been training every week, he gets on with the lads and he looks good,” continued Munday. “I’m hoping he will be a great asset.”

Bexhill are 10th in Macron Store Southern Combination Football League Division One - two places and seven points above Steyning having played three more matches - and were 4-2 winners in August’s reverse fixture.
“We beat them away, but they were one of the better footballing sides we’ve played this year and that was a really strong performance from us,” added Munday. “If we can rekindle that type of performance, hopefully we can get something out of it.”
Munday said that as far as he’s concerned, Jordan Woodley won’t play for him again after the attacking player failed to turn up for last weekend’s game at Crawley Down Gatwick and didn’t answer his phone.
“He’d been begging me for a chance,” said Munday. “He was on the teamsheet and that was his chance. Maybe he’s gone somewhere else.”
