Jake Adams, Sam Ellis and Callum Smith all bagged braces as Westies cruised to a comprehensive 6-0 victory.

Lawrence felt his side were intimidated by Westfield’s physical approach on the day and said: “I hope we learn our lessons from this game. Westfield were very physical and I think we struggled to adapt.

“For a lot of these players it is a first year in senior football coming from youth level. In the first 25 minutes, we were in the game but once Westfield worked out what we were about they began to get a lot more physical.”

Adams fired the home side in front on 17 minutes, before Smith added a second on the half-hour.

A tough first 45 minutes was then capped off with Smith striking a second five minutes prior to the break.

Westfield finished the game well and netted three times in the final 20 minutes. Ellis got his first on 70 minutes then bagged a second 12 minutes from time.
