Lashings of stars head to Bexhill

Some famous footballing names from the recent past are set to showcase their skills in Bexhill this evening (Thursday).

The Lashings All-Stars will be fielding a team of ex-professionals and celebrities against a Bexhill United Legends XI at The Polegrove.

A Bexhill United spokesman said: “Lashings have confirmed their team will be managed by former West Ham United and England player Tony Cottee and captained by ex-Arsenal ace Perry Groves. The team will also include ex-professionals like Kerry Dixon, Nigel Winterburn, Mark Wright, Clayton Blackmore, Neil Webb, David Howells and Steve Claridge.”

One-time Tottenham/Liverpool and Celebrity Big Brother star Neil “Razor” Ruddock will captain the Bexhill side. There will be an opportunity for supporters to meet the ex-professionals for autographs and pictures.

Gates will open at 5pm and the game will kick-off an hour later. Admission is £5 for adults and £2 for under-16s. Afterwards there will be a celebrity dinner and auction in a luxury marquee compered by comedian Scott Charlton.
