Hastings targeting first home win

Hastings United return to action tonight (Tuesday) with a key early season fixture.

The U’s entertain Kingstonian in the Ryman Football League Premier Division with both sides eager for a victory to help pull away from the foot of the table.

United are in 17th place with five points from six games, while Kingstonian are two places and one point worse off having played the same number of matches.

Jason Hopkinson’s side will also be keen to improve on a disappointing home record so far which reads one point from three fixtures. Kick-off at The Pilot Field is 7.45pm.

Elsewhere tonight, Sidley United will be out to continue their 100 per cent start to the Sussex County League Division One campaign when they travel to Lancing.

John Lambert’s team has won its opening four league matches - all away from home - without conceding a goal. Lancing are also unbeaten with eight points from the same number of games.
