Elsewhere today, Rye United will resume their Sussex County League Division One campaign after back-to-back cup matches over the past week by making the relatively short journey to Ringmer.

Rye - who have bolstered their defence by signing Nathan Russell and Ben Radley this week - have taken seven points from their first four league games, while Ringmer have gained just three from five.

There’s a local derby in Division Two as Westfield entertain Bexhill United. Westfield have just one point from four matches so far, but showed a significant improvement when narrowly losing 4-3 away to Division One side Arundel in a midweek cup tie having led 3-1.

Bexhill have garnered seven points from four fixtures under new manager Kenny McCreadie and are unbeaten in their last three. The front two of Peter Cooper and Danny Leach have been in fine goalscoring form.
