Hastings headline bumper night

Hastings United visit Concord Rangers in a Ryman League Cup semi-final which will be the third meeting between the clubs in as many months.

The sides fought out a 1-1 draw at The Pilot Field in December, but United suffered a heavy 4-0 defeat in the reverse fixture at the start of February.

Canvey Island-based Concord have lost two of their last three, including a 1-0 defeat to top-of-the-table Whitehawk on Saturday. United have recorded just one win in their last seven in all compeitions.

In Sussex County League Division One, Rye United will be back in action at home to third-placed Ringmer.

Scott Price’s side will be looking to follow up the weekend’s 5-1 thumping of Horsham YMCA with another good display, although they’ll be in for a tough game against a Ringmer side which has lost just once since Christmas.

Jack Franklin is likely to go straight into the starting line-up after completing his lengthy three-match ban and Shaun Loft will also return to the squad.

Elsewhere in that division, Sidley United entertain Hailsham Town in a clash between two sides seeking to pull away from the lower reaches of the table.

Sidley are yet to win in four matches in 2013 so far, while Hailsham are going through a tough time of their own, with four defeats from their last five games.

John Lambert will be hoping Sidley can get back to winning ways tonight, with Ricky Martin and Kevin Rose expected to be added to the squad which drew 1-1 at Redhill on Saturday.

In Division Two, Westfield will make the journey to third-placed Eastbourne United AFC. Westfield come into the game off the back of a disappointing 2-2 draw with Rustington on Saturday.

United are in indifferent form themselves, though, winning and losing games in equal measure, while still scoring plenty of goals.

Fourth-placed Little Common are at home to mid-table Seaford Town. Common were 3-0 victors when Mile Oak visited on Saturday and Russell Eldridge’s men will be hoping for a similar outcome against a Seaford team which has lost its last two.

Common’s match kicks-off at 7.30pm, while all the others begin at 7.45pm.
