Hastings desperate to stop the rot

Hastings United will be back in action tonight (Monday) with a trip to Wealdstone.

The U’s will be desperate to get something from their trip to north-west London after a dreadful sequence of results has left them deep in relegation trouble in the Premier Division of the Ryman Football League.

A 2-0 reverse at Margate on Saturday - Jason Hopkinson’s fifth loss out of five since replacing Tony Dolby as manager last month - has left fourth-bottom Hastings level on points with basement boys Croydon Athletic.

Wealdstone are eight points and three places better off than Hastings from the same number of matches. A very different Hastings side ran out 2-0 winners in the reverse fixture on the opening day.

Return here tomorrow (Tuesday) morning to find out the result.
