David Nessling and Pat McCrossan have come on board this week, joining the already in situ Tony Cosens, Simon Rudkins and Ormerod himself.

A life member of the club, Nessling initially joined as a goalkeeper in the mid-1960s and went on to make well over 500 appearances.

He became treasurer and vice-chairman in the late 1970s before acting as chairman from 1988-1998. During this period Nessling also served for 10 years as a director of the Southern Football League.

Since then he has been a director at Crawley Town and spent a decade on the management committee at Eastbourne Borough.

Nessling currently sits on the Sussex County Football League management committee and is a member of the Council of the Sussex County FA disciplinary committee. Until recently he was an SCFA director.

A long-time United supporter, McCrossan has been a volunteer at the club for 10 years. He is the matchday PA announcer at The Pilot Field and supporters’ liaison officer.

McCrossan is also on the Hastings United Supporters’ Club committee and says he is focused on the ‘customer experience’.
