United will travel to Worthing and Common will head further along the A27 to Arundel in round three of the Parafix Sussex Senior Challenge Cup. Fixtures are to be played on or before Wednesday December 9.

The Hastings match promises to be an intriguing one. Worthing are third in Ryman Football League Division One South - 10 places and seven points above United, albeit having played three more matches.

The clubs have already met twice in the league this season, Worthing winning 3-1 at The Pilot Field in September only for Hastings to triumph by an identical scoreline in the reverse fixture a few weeks later.

Hastings, of course, pulled off a magnificent extra-time victory away to League Two club Crawley Town in the previous round of the competition.

Like United, Macron Store Southern Combination League Division One side Common have also been in fine form in the various cups this season.

Common have won seven of their nine cup matches so far, two of which have been against higher level clubs. And they will hope to make it a hat-trick against an Arundel team which lies in the Premier Division’s bottom six.
