FA Trophy draw: Bognor, Eastbourne, Hastings and Whitehawk discover fate

BOGNOR will host another National League South side in the next round of the FA Trophy – the fourth time this season they have played a team from a division above their own.

Bath are currently eighth in the National South and will present Jamie Howell’s side with a stiff test in the third qualifying round.

The Rocks won 4-1 at Taunton on Saturday to reach this round.

They have beaten Lowestoft and Oxford City already this season in the FA Cup, in which they lost to Wealdstone - all three of those playing in either National South or North.

Other Sussex sides involved are Whitehawk, who will travel to Dartford, and Eastbourne Borough who will travel to Hayes and Yeading.

Hastings’ second qualifying round clash with Merthyr was abandoned because of bad weather on Saturday and thewinners of that tie, which will be replayed on Tuesday evening, will host East Thurrock in the next round.

Third qualifying round games are due to be played on Saturday, November 28.

Teams who won second qualifying round ties earned £3,250 each, while a win in the next round will scoop £4,000.
